Sr Development Engineer Position Overview:Activant Solution seeks Senior Software Developers who have at least 5-10 years of experience developing complex business RETAIL applications with minimum of five years COBOL experience. Applicants must have experience in Windows, UNIX, or other ‘non mainframe’ multi-user environments. Minimum of five years of COBOL experience required. Previous work experience supporting legacy products and taking them to the next generation for evolving markets is highly valued.Responsibilities:Candidate must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment supporting multiple projects through various phases of requirements, specification, implementation, testing, and sustaining. Strong communication and analytical skills are needed when collaborating with project manager and analyst. Requirements:Technical Requirements: Minimum of FIVE years programming experience in COBOL REQUIRED. Experience in Visual Basic, Unix/Linux, Client/Server Development also sought.
