Solutions Architect - Manufacturing Systems
Position Description: Senior level resource with the ability to drive hardware sizing, deliver application projects as well as the required infrastructure, estimate hardware and software requirements, and manage test and production environments, including integration capabilities for manufacturing projects. Work with the business to define needs, covering the full manufacturing space (QAD, MES, MRP, infrastructure). Design infrastructure components required to operate an enterprise computing environment. Provide infrastructure guidance on complex and challenging technical projects. Provides support such as troubleshooting to application teams when the architecture does not meet requirements (examples: performance, stability and network security). Guide application teams through the architecture review process and ensure compliance with IT Architecture standards. Ensure that the technical infrastructure will provide optimal manageability and security. Review business requests for information access and usage. Interact extensively and regularly with infrastructure development personnel, ensuring technical architecture is consistent across projects. Ensure delivery of a scalable infrastructure that is compatible with business needs across application, technologies and facilities. The role will be 80% technical and 20% business focused.Position Requirements: Eight to ten years in IT, minimum two years of technical leadership and infrastructure development experience, with demonstrated experience architecting and integrating manufacturing systems in multi user, multi platform and multitasking operating system environments. Manufacturing experience required, including MRP and MES, infrastructure deployment; QAD and VIA preferred. Broad understanding of server technologies, operating systems, network and storage technologies, and how these relate to the deployment of applications Communicate highly technical aspects of architecture and integration effectively in a customer consulting setting. Application deployment experience with hardware, Networking, and UNIX. Strong business analysis skills including requirements gathering and documentation. Technical infrastructure design skills essential. Must work well in team environment to build consensus and provide thought leadership.CIBER, Inc.
