Software QA Engineer
Overview:Â Â Â Â The Software QA Engineer is responsible for creating, maintaining and executing software test plans, test data, and test cases and to compose clear and informative defect reports using a defect-tracking tool.
Â
Experience Necessary: 3+ years of software quality assurance and testing experience. Self motivated worker capable of doing repetitive tasks with an eye on accuracy and understanding. Must have strong problem solving skills, a passion about quality, and have a team approach to solving software issues.  Must have excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.  Test automation experience is desired.

MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL UP TO 20%. Occasional Overtime is required.
Â
Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Â
·       Responsible for documenting test plans, test procedures and test results.
·       Execute functional, regression, and performance testing of software releases.
·       Responsible for testing front-end applications, interfaces, reports and the database.
·       Expert working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows environment.
·       Must be comfortable setting up test environments and labs, including hardware, software and networking.
·       Work with the development and business teams to clarify requirements, and to write test cases to ensure requirements have been met.
·       Proactively identify issues and variances from expected results while assisting with resolution suggestions.
·       Must be comfortable working with SQL queries and have basic database management skills.
·       Collaborate with the development team in presenting testing results.
·       Provide 2nd tier technical support interfacing with the service organization and development team.
·       Assist in test effort estimation.
·       Interface directly with customers regarding end user operation and problem resolution.
·       Participate in new product introductions, beta site installations, training help, and facilitating User Acceptance Testing as needed.
