Software Development Manager - Technology Manager 

 

Great opportunity in a fast-growth, well-funded entrepreneurial clean-tech company providing hardware, web applications and data services solutions with unique, new-concept technology. The market is HOT and the company is growing rapidly. This newly-created position manages a small staff of inhouse developers along with outsource contract developers, and reports to the V.P. of Engineering.


 

The ideal candidate has experience in environments with software applications managing remote wireless electronic hardware, and web portals. A combination of strategic management skills and personal development skills, with the ability to contribute to architecture and design, code review, etc. is needed. We seek a proven track record of accomplishments as a Manager, with personal development experience in C, C++ and an understanding of C#, SQL server  and .NET web applications. 


This is a full-time, regular hire, onsite managerial position (no telecommute option.) Local candidates only, please, currently residing within reasonable commute distance. Compensation includes competitive salary, bonus opportunity, stock options and excellent benefits.

 

Requires:

· Software Manager experience responsibility managing, motivating and mentoring inhouse software developers and outsource developers in an environment with software products managing remote electronic wireless hardware, such as telecom/networking.

· Personal development experience in C, C++, understanding of C#, .NET and SQL server.

· Experience maintaining internal and external customer satisfaction with outstanding communication skills.

· Skilled at providing guidance on architecture, design, structure, security issues, database implementation, etc.

· Management of development of prototypes for enhancements, new features, and next generation releases along with maintaining current products.

· General management experience including interviewing, skill assessment, training, performance reviews, terminations, etc.

· Proven ability to manage multiple projects, forecast requirements accurately, and meet deadlines with high-quality results.

·Experience with relational databases including SQL Server.

·Ensuring that software development best practices are followed.

·B.S. Degree in Computer Science, or related experience
