120,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD /yearPerformance bonus up to 5% of base salary Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Engineering Relevant Work Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Email: Apply by Email Reference Code: 101904 Software Engineer - Platform Development Excellent opportunity for a senior embedded software engineer to join our client's platforms group and help build the next generation of their Multi-Service software and platforms.  They are rapidly expanding to cover increasing demands from their customers and need to strengthen their embedded platforms group.  Primary responsibility is to contribute to the core platform software development effort.  You will use your detailed knowledge of packet technologies like Ethernet, Frame Relay and PPP, as well as routing protocols like BGP, OSPF and RIP.  Device driver and hardware bring-up experience is desirable but not required.  You will be involved in all phases of the software development life cycle including design, implementation, unit testing, debugging and maintenance. Requirements:· Experience in real-time embedded system software development, with at least 3 years of experience on data protocol related development. · 5 years of real-time embedded software development experience in data networking products, with strong analytical and debugging skills.· Proficient in C in real-time embedded development environments.· VxWorks and embedded Linux experience.· At least 3 years of solid data protocol experience.· Detailed knowledge of data and security related protocols including TCP/IP, 802.x Frame Relay, IPSEC, PPP.· Comfortable working in a lab environment using digital embedded systems debug tools (ICE, logic analyzers).  Send this Job to a Friend View all General Employment Career Opportunities
