Software Developer in Test 80K and up

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has an urgent need for temple worthy church members who are experienced Software Quality Engineers. 
 
The ICS department works on very wide range of applications that affect the global business and mission of the Church. They work in a fast-paced, agile, cutting-edge work environment with competitive salaries and excellent benefits. 
 
Our QA Engineers are probably a little different than most. We need both good programmers who can pair program with developers and "white box" testers for different types of code. Our engineers lead the Quality Assurance effort on every project and take part in all of the decisions concerning project scope, direction, readiness, architecture, etc. Our engineers demonstrate ownership, accountability, and commitment to their projects. 
 
Our engineers are much more than "testers" who have used "record and replay" software. We are looking for skilled, seasoned software professionals who are excited to learn but who have the experience to bring new ideas and practices to our team. 
 
We need technology experts in many areas, including:
J2EE applications
Web based applications 
Load / Performance testing 
Internationalization and Localization testing
Enterprise Financial software
Vignette Content Management
SQL Databases
 
Our engineers work with languages and source tools like Selenium, Marathon, Ruby, Perl, Python, C++, C#, .Net.  They need to know how to choose the best tools, or if one isn't available, to create his or her own. They need to be eager to break software quickly and have the expertise to focus on the most important and critical areas.

 

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience6-8+ years of relevant experienceDemonstrated working knowledge of a minimum of 2 automation languages or a single automation language and in addition the ability to utilize a structured programming language to interface with existing source code, commonly referred to as a "test harness"Track record of specific application of this knowledge resulting in project successTrack record of isolating issues at the component levelCertifications: CISSP, MCSE, CNE and other like certifications relative to IT helpfulMust be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in good standing
