Software Architect - Messaging Products (C++ and TCP/IP)

Overview:We are currently seeking driven and talented Software Architects who thrive on pushing the limits of technology to produce state of the art trading application infrastructure. TT software uses a combination of highly tuned PGM and TCP protocols for high performance, high reliability communication over globally distributed trading networks. TT Messaging (TTM) is our proprietary messaging application/API which manages network communication for all of TT’s products. TTM Software Architects are responsible for building proprietary protocol analysis, diagnostic and real-time network monitoring tools for the TT networks. A TTM Software Architect takes ownership of large projects as a technical lead and is assigned development resources. Responsibilities:·  Consults with clients and internal developers to analyze and understand business requirements, client needs, objectives, and desired features.·  Leads a small two to three person team to deliver major application components.·  Authors system, functional and technical specifications and test plans.·  Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, and time.·  Identifies and manages cross system dependencies.·  Works with other development teams and support to resolve issues.·  Leads training sessions for other development teams and technical support staff.·  Guides and mentors new team hires. Requirements:·  Excellent C/C++ skills.·  Proficient in object oriented design and coding techniques.·  Solid understanding of client/server software.·  Solid understanding of TCP/IP and UDP protocol.·  7 + years experience in software development.·  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.·  M.S. in Computer Science or related field is a plus.·  Experience with FIX Protocol is a plus.·  Experience with exchange APIs is a plus.·  Experience with Futures & Options trading is a plus.  TT is committed to providing an environment where highly talented, challenge-hungry people thrive.
