Future Tech has an opening for a Service Manager at our corporate headquarters in Holbrook, New York.  The primary function of this position is to oversee our configuration and service departments. The candidate must possess high customer service standards in delivering and managing configurations and technical services to clients.

 

Roles & Responsibilities include:

·  Responsible for the planning manufacturer shipments of large quantities of computer hardware for configuration, asset tagging, inventory management and shipping to the customer on or before required ship date.

·  Imaging, Ghosting, Asset Tagging and Configuring mass quantities of computers for customer rollouts.

·  Managing large computer configuration orders to be performed and completed in short periods of time.

·  Provide guidance and manage the daily operations of the in house techs, on site Techs, configuration techs and the service administrator

·  Provide career growth for all personnel through formal and informal training as well as direct counseling

·  Oversee and manage the national service accounts of the company.

·  Provide timely and accurate solutions to address customers’ service needs.

·  Ensure all orders are configured properly and timely.

·  Meet with customers to ensure their images are up to date.

·  Oversee projects handled by the configuration department.

·  Maintain vendor and manufacturer warranty certifications.

·  Support upper Management in new policies and company directives

·  Provide valuable input to Management on budgets, forecasts, and P&Ls.

·  Interact with Management of other departments to ensure overall success of company and provide a team effort approach

·  Work with the sales team on a daily basis to support the customer base as well as new opportunities that they may have

 

Position Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or related field.

 â€¢  Technical Knowledge:  

MS Office Professional Suite

  Windows XP

MS Vista a plus

  Server Windows 2000 & 2003

  System 2000 a plus

  MAC hardware & OS a plus


Experience:

Qualified candidates must have 5 years of relevant management experience preferably within a service or configuration role.  Additionally candidates must have strong technical and interpersonal skills.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

•  Well organized, detailed and ability to plan ahead to meet deliverable dates. 

• Understanding of shipping and receiving of hardware along with tracking assets. 

• Strong understanding of configuration of all types of PC/Mac computer hardware and Servers

• Strong ability to discuss needs and provide updates to customers

• Strong ability to interact with management and sales

• Ability to lead and direct a team and make decisions quickly

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
