Server-side Java Web Developer

Description

·  Build out cross-asset, global trading and analytic systems for internal and external clients

·  Help maintain our production, high-scalability web platform

·  Work on a small team in a high-paced, business-aligned environment

·  Contribute to the full application lifecycle of our trading systems

·  Work closely with users to understand their requirements and our business

Requirements

·  Four year degree or international equivalent.

·  Minimum 5 years web application programming experience

·  Minimum 3 years working on a large-scale enterprise web application

Preferred Qualifications

·  Strong foundation in JEE and high-performance/real-time server-side Java development

·  Strong core java, data structure and OO-design skills

·  Experience in architecting and implementing highly scalable and distributed web applications

·  Experience with Spring, Ajax or Web Services a plus but not required

·  Knowledge of SQL and relational database structures

·  Experience configuring and optimizing application and web servers such as Apache and Tomcat

·  Fluent with version control systems such as CVS or Subversion

·  Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
