Server Administrator
Technology Consulting has an immediate need for a LAN Administrator in the Garyville, LA area. Consultants will perform server and network administration on Windows NT/2000/2003 and SQL 2000 servers, the local area network (LAN), and its components. Includes activities such as daily server backups, anti-virus protection, performance tuning, security additions/changes/removals, security policy management, data access controls, configuration/patch management, change control administration, and database administration. Additional duties include the maintenance of appropriate IS controls, documentation and business recovery plans on the refinery site local area network and other computer systems as well as maintaining change control documentation on all systems changes and other technical specifications to insure compliance with corporate standards. Must also conduct network topology testing and monitoring with Fluke meters and appropriate fiber optic devices. Computer Proficiencies:
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience in NT4/2000/2003 Server, SQL Server 2000, MS Clustering, Backup Exec, Cisco LAN, HP/Compaq server hardware, and HP Printing.
- HP SIM, Ecora Patch Management, Quest logging/monitoring tools, Fluke network tools, SQL 2005 and Oracle experience helpful, but not required.
- Knowledge of general applications (Word, Excel, etc.). Certifications: MCSE, MCSA, MCDBA and Cisco are a plus. Qualified Candidates please send resume to Robyn Gowers at rgowers@tcipro.com for immediate consideration.
