Senior Technical Support Engineer

Duties:

·         Primary duty Internal support and on-site external support for our clients

·         Identifies system improvements by evaluating system performance

·         Provides answers to clients by identifying problems; researching answers; guiding client through corrective steps

·         Upgrades system performance by tuning and configuring the system

·         Maintains system performance by defining development tools and procedures

·         Protects system information by preparing and testing disaster recovery procedures

·         Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records

·         Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations and mentoring to subordinates  

·         Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential

·         Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed

·         Lead the implementation and support of all IT projects and contract support customers

·         Put in place support and maintenance procedures to insure we meet our internal support needs and needs and goals of our external clients

 

Work experience

 

·         10 years of experience supporting computer & networks systems

·         10 years of experience implementing firewall, spam, or email servers

Requirements:

·         Authorization to work legally in the USA (US Citizen or posses Green Card)

·         Ability to communicate well in English (add Spanish a plus)

·         Must have good experience with Novell OS 6.0 and GroupWise 6.5 or above

·         Must have an MCSE or equivalent years of experience

·         Must be proficient with Linux OS

·         Must have the ability to setup and support, MS Windows Servers, Novell Server, Firewalls, Spam servers, Etc.

Qualifications:

·         BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience

·         10 years of experience in Technical Support and implementation

·         Microsoft or Novell certification required, and or N+ & A+
