Senior Systems Administrator

Position Summary:The Senior System Administrator is part of the Information Technology Infrastructure Group and is primarily responsible for the proper operation of Merkle windows production servers and server based applications in a 400 server farm, multi-site environment.  The Senior Systems Administrator works with a team of 8 other Systems Engineers and Administrators and reports to the Director of IT Operations.  Position Responsibilities:·  Design, build, research, analyze, configure, harden, troubleshoot and maintain production systems across multiple Merkle sites·  Provide common and advanced system administration functions for local and remote systems including user administration, automation, patch management, backup and restore, capacity/log monitoring, clustering and replication·  Install and maintain server class hardware·  Assist on numerous other general department requests as required including but not limited to:  Active Directory configuration and tuning, Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007, Veritas NetBackup 6.5, Citrix Presentation Server, HP Systems Insight Manager management, HP SAN maintenance, EM7 Monitoring Tools, and other special troubleshooting or implementation projects as assigned·  Provide Tier III troubleshooting for desktop networking, connectivity & VPN issues·  Provide occasional on-call and after-hours support on a monthly rotating basis Position Requirements: ·  High School Diploma·  5+ years experience in a Microsoft IT environment with 500+ users·  Specific experience with: Windows Server 2003, Active Directory 2003, Veritas NetBackup, Microsoft Exchange 2003, Citrix Presentation Server·  MCSE or comparable certifications preferred·  Experience with EM7 Network Monitoring a plus·  Ability to respond effectively and timely to sensitive inquiries and complaints·  Ability to communicate with internal users at all levels and build professional and trusting client relationships.·  Ability to promote teamwork and collaboration    https://www.hirebridge.com/application/appchoice.asp?jid=68366
