Senior Support Engineer

We are currently looking for a senior support engineer who will be responsible for providing software sustaining engineering services in support of Stratus’ Fault Tolerant line of servers running Window operating system. The position requires a candidate who is well versed in supporting and debugging Windows kernel drivers, disk storage drivers and solid knowledge of disk sub system architectures. Ability to debug kernel dumps. Independently resolves all levels of software bugs and problems in host based devices drivers.
In this role you will be expected to communicate the impact of problems/solutions to their manager, to technical support engineers, and to customers. In addition, you must be able to develop solutions, design and write code, create and document test cases, run unit tests and perform general system integration testing.
Experience:5 + years providing software sustaining in a windows based environment Knowledge of embedded device drivers and host level drivers Fibre Channel and RAID Storage sub system experience Experience with C, C++ Must possess strong debugging and analytical skills Must be able to thrive in a challenging and dynamic environment Experience with Embedded devices is a plus Experience with user level application support is a plus Experience with Telephony support is a plus
Bachelor’s in CS/EE, or related experience
