Summary: RMT, Inc. is searching for a dynamic Sr. Software Engineer to develop next generation software to support a Windows XP-based Ultra Mobile PC. Candidate must be experienced in all phases of software development and have a diverse range of experience incorporating Windows application, service, and driver development for a wide array of hardware configurations including barcode or RFID scanners, digital cameras, and biometric readers, etc. Applicant must be self-motivated and require limited supervision yet stay on schedule and meet rigid production deadlines. Candidate will also support existing software applications already fielded.

Education Requirements:

Â· Minimum B.S. in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering.

Â· 5 - 7 years professional software development experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Â§ Design, develop, and test new software

Â§ Maintain and test existing software

Â§ Generate requirements and project definitions for customer solutions

Â§ Provide top tier technical support for UMPC software

Â§ Support UMPC R&D and manufacturing team with custom utility software

Â§ Lead QA and verification of all production software

Â§ Oversee release and deployment of software products

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Â§ 5 years application development experience with production software

Â§ .NET / C# managed code

Â§ MFC / C++ desired

Â§ Windows DDK experience desirable

Â§ Low-level embedded C desirable

Â§ Experience in PC manufacturing or R&D industry is a plus

Â§ Prior experience in managing software projects is required

Â§ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Â§ Self-motivating entrepreneurial attitude
