Senior Principal Software Engineer
Position Description:
This individual plays an important role within Control Technology’s Engineering Department, helping to design new products and support existing. It is a highly visible position where self-management and the ability to think out-of-the-box are required for success. We work with diverse technologies which allow for numerous career growth paths, including, but not limited to, advanced GUI and database development, networking, motion control, embedded, as well as all aspects of industrial and process control in a real-time environment.
Requirements:
- Architect level C# .Net development experience.
- GUI development and user interface design using such components as supplied by Infragistics, Xceed, Northwoods, and Actipro.
- Java development using Eclipse, java bean generation, SCADA interface development.
- Java database development and interface. SQL experience.
- Networking experience debugging systems using tools such as Ethereal or Wireshark.
- Experience with OPC Server development using Kepware a plus.
- Experience with Motion control and/or industrial controllers a plus.
- Since we develop in diverse environments, any additional background in VB.Net, C++, Linux, embedded development, and/or real-time systems is also of interest.
- Bachelor's degree in C.S. or E.E from a four-year college or university with ten or more years of related experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required as well as the ability to write well-structured programs.
- Hands-on and self-managing.
