Volt Professional Search is currently identifying potential candidates for a Senior Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have as the cornerstone of their experience a systems administrator background in Unix/Linux and the proven ability to manage other managers - owing and driving business results. The Senior Operations Manager must have experience in the following three areas: data center operations, IT consulting, and project management. In addition, this role requires the proven ability to have impact/influence with senior executives of the client. Relying on data analysis and management by metrics, with a strong desire to drive standardization and process improvements are also important qualifications. Finally, ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally are key considerations. Requirements: - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, preferred and/or equivalent experience - Two years of System Administrator Unix/Linux experience - Demonstrated management of managers - Direct experience in IT services, consulting, outsourcing - Demonstrated ability to build positive client relationship even when client is demanding and controlling - Ability to articulate and manage by the metrics needed to control the business - Demonstrated ability to analyze operational data to drive productivity, quality, and efficiency decisions - Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint - Demonstrated ability to motivate a team to excel well beyond customer expectations - Proactive communicator to the client, employees, and to the GFS Global Leadership team - Open to direct, constructive feedback, especially during the first six months on the job - Proficient in Deployment, Site Services, and Asset Management servicesVolt is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and we maintain a drug-free workplace.
