Senior IT Purchasing Analyst

The Senior IT Purchasing Analyst facilitates the order process for all technology related purchases (hardware and software) ensuring that purchased items or services are ordered from the selected supplier and delivered at the right time, right cost and in within current IT standards and specifications. Monitors supplier delivery performance, manage returns and invoice reconciliation process. Senior IT Purchasing Analyst also ensures compliance with all relevant procedures and contract requirements. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Processes purchase orders.- Strategically manages vendor and internal customer relationships. - Proactively resolve issues with vendors and internal customers. - Assists in researching and selecting alternate IT vendors as needed. - Manages invoice reconciliation and payment procedures. - Forecasts and reports on order quantities. - Performs product and cost analyses. - Facilitates efforts to leverage total corporate volume, creating cost effective programs for IT procurement. - Monitors compliance with negotiated rates, established policies and market share to preferred IT vendors.- Monitors compliance with software license orders and deployment. - Educates business units regarding additional savings opportunities and program compliance issues.- Works with support managers, other business unit procurement agents, business and finance managers and OpcCo management to maintain software compliance. - Assist Director of Contracts with contract negotiations for software maintenance renewals and new license contracts.- Participate in special projects to identify and implement potential cost savings opportunities. RELATED WORK EXPERIENCEMinimum 5 years in a Corporate purchasing environment with a minimum 3 years a managerial positionFORMAL EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT College Degree in a Related Field REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:- In depth understanding of a constantly changing environment- Resolves conflicts- High degree of ingenuity and problem solving skills- Ability to provide timely assistance to a broad range of internal clients (including senior management)- Responsible for best-practice client satisfaction levels SKILLS- Thorough understanding of office and service-related best practices- Excellent Problem solving ability- Detail orientation- Moderately Proficient in Word and Excel ' Knowledge of Remedy a plus.- Excellent oral and written skills- Ability to work under pressure- Customer focus- Ability to work independently and manage time (for one self, and for others) efficiently.
