The Senior Hardware Engineer will also be responsible for reviewing customer designs, and participating in customer support and application engineering activities. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years (five+ years preferred) industry experience with a background in board-level digital circuit design of processor-based systems, programmable logic, board bring-up, troubleshooting and developing firmware. This position reports to the Director of Systems Austin, TX. Therefore, excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates will be evaluated based on the following criteria: • A B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree, plus minimum 3 years experience (5+ years preferred) with board-level digital circuit design of processor-based systems, programmable logic, board bring-up, lab equipment, troubleshooting and firmware. • Experience in CPLD and FPGA design, development and verification strongly preferred. • Strong computer programming skills preferred. • Must be knowledgeable in Verilog and C. Perl experience a plus. • Knowledge of high-speed networking interfaces (such as Ethernet GMII, XGMII, SERDES or XAUI) is a plus. • Must have excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex tasks. • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
