We are currently seeking a Senior Engineering Specialist - RCE Firmware for a permanent full – time position. This company offers great benefits and has a business casual environment.  Our client is seeking a self-motivated, self confident team player that can provide technical leadership in developing the top-level firmware design of Remote Communications Equipment (RCE) products, as well as designing and coding individual functional components.  Participate in the development of project plans, from concept phase to production release, including assigning responsibilities to team members.  Review designs, code, test reports and other deliverables produced by the product team.  Participate in product deployment at customer sites, and provide leadership in resolving customer technical support issues.  Function as technical lead when required. This opportunity will allow you to:

 

·  Firmware design, coding, test and documentation for micro controller based products

·  Help develop firmware functional specifications and requirements documentation for new products

·  Contribute cost estimates and schedules for firmware development tasks

·  Develop design verification test requirements and create test reports

·  Develop and maintain structured firmware processes

·  Perform the role of technical lead to ensure the product meets all firmware specifications

·  Lead the project team engineers regarding proper firmware design processes for high reliability firmware

·  Supervise the work of project team engineers

·  Develop unit and integration test requirements and methodologies and processes

·  Develop new techniques and apply existing techniques for designing, developing and testing high reliability firmware.

·  Participate in technical reviews of the work performed by the group

·  Other duties as assigned by the Firmware Group Engineer

Requirements

 

All qualified applicants will possess these minimum requirements:

·  Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

·  5 years experience in analysis, design, coding, and testing assembler and C code for embedded systems.

·  Working knowledge of microprocessor hardware systems, PIC family micro controllers preferred

·  Good written and verbal communication skills
