As a key member of the team, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide management level input on the following: • Database monitoring; performance, resource usage etc • Creation of logical data models which translate into physical database structures that integrate with existing or proposed database structures • Capacity planning and scalability of solutions • DB2 database maintenance and tuning • Effect of changes in enterprise data architecture • Level of effort required to meet client objectives • Provide advice to teammates on the effective use of database access techniques and queries, and other data management issues • Evaluate and recommend new procedures, software and hardware to support ongoing and proposed strategic initiatives • Create, procure and maintain all database related documents, procedures, guidelines and architecture diagrams • Coordinate with the Operations team on the resolution of database issues as well as define procedures for operations team. REQUIREMENTS: • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 6+ years experience with DB2.•  Outstanding oral and written communication skills are essential to this position. The candidate will have proven communication skills that demonstrate understanding of complex technical details, clarity of thought, relating complex information to non-technical users, and the ability to persuade others. • As a member of a cross-functional team, an understanding of clients (both internal and external) and teamwork are essential. Above all, enthusiasm, the ability to quickly learn new technology, and a willingness to own responsibility will be critical to success in this position. • A desire to learn more about marketing analytics and contribute to client satisfaction. SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED: • Experience in DB2, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader • Expertise in administering large DB2 databases in a Linux/Windows environment. • Expertise with SQL and stored procedure optimization • Expertise with Linux/Windows environments and shell scripting * sh, Perl, etc • Experience in data migration, data conversion and data cleansing • Experience in data modeling tools • Knowledge of DB2 system and security administration • Prior experience in a real-time transaction processing • Prior experience in designing and tuning large decision support databases • Exposure to statistics and analytics techniques   IRI is an Equal Opportunity Employer
