Senior C# / .NET Developer

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior C# / .NET Developer is responsible for all phases of the software development life cycle for new and existing programs. The position involves daily interaction with other team members and members of other departments within the company to deliver a quality product in a timely manner.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Designs, modifies, implements, and documents software application changes. Provides estimations of work based on knowledge and experience in a given work area. Writes product technical design specifications and documentation. Give technical and non-technical presentations on the impact of changes to the Aloha software. Acts as a mentor for junior engineers

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related area (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Services, Management Information Services) or equivalent industry experience. 5+ years of experience developing applications for a Windows operating system platform 5+ years of experience with Microsoft development software and tools (Visual Studio) 5+ years of experience developing object oriented solutions 2+ years of experience developing applications using Microsoft C# and .NET Framework Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills Working knowledge of RDBMS programming and design, including fluency in basic SQL Working knowledge of UML Working knowledge of Design Patterns

DESIREDMicrosoft Certified Solution Developer (MSCD) certification Masters in Computer Science (or equivalent degree) Unit testing with NUnit or equivalent TCP/IP Socket level communications Experience Java and C++ Experience with Active Reports Professional experience in the Restaurant or Hospitality industry
