Sales Representative- IT Solutions and Services

Job Purpose:

Serves medium to large size IT customers by identifying their needs;  equipment, and services.

Duties:

* Establishes new accounts and opportunities; identifying potential customers; planning and organizing sales-call schedule; setting appointments with potential customers.

* Provides IT products, services, and equipment information by answering questions and requests at the sales call; creating possible solutions.

* Closes sale by demonstrating benefit to the customer; explaining costs involved; obtaining contract signatures and deposit on material services.

* Submits sales order by creating bill-of-material and labor work order; delivering orders to purchasing, and scope of work and signed contract to operations manager; establishing installation dates.

* Meets IT solutions sales objectives by maintaining project list; discussing progress with Sales Manager; identifying obstacles in closing agreements; developing solutions to improve closing ratio.

* Maintains customer satisfaction by maintaining rapport with current accounts; evaluating service level; identifying and resolving problems; escalating problems for appropriate resolutions; notifying senior management of potential service failures.

* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by understanding new technologies; attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

* Contributes to sales effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues to senior management; recommending courses of action; implementing directives; pitching in when necessary to maintains services.

Skills/Qualifications:

2+ yrs. experience in selling IT services and solutions

Knowledge in selling virtualization, DR, and Storage a big plus

The ability to immediately sell to medium and large size businesses in the Dallas area
