We are currently in search of a skilled Systems Administrator to work in the East Tampa area for a growing technology company.  This is a full-time salaried position with full benefits. 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The System Administrator is responsible for the overall maintenance, health, and availability of the organizations' private and public facing servers.

 

Business Impact
This is a core technology position responsible for providing and supporting business services.

 

Principal Responsibilities
The System Administrator will be responsible for the management of the following components of the infrastructure.

The term "Management" always refers to one or more of the following items: planning, analysis, configuration, installation, maintenance, monitoring, and upgrades.

Disk Management includes RAID, DAS, and NAS.
Power Management - UPS, circuits, transfer switches, load balancing
Server  Management - Hardware and Software
Documentation - System Documentation, technical writing, and project plan composition.
Collaboration - Works closely with other administrators and managers to help establish the standards of system architecture, data communications, and system security

 

Required Competencies
High level of expertise in Windows 2000/2003 Server and Active Directory
Strong troubleshooting skills with hardware and software.
Outstanding customer service and interaction skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Demonstrated ability to be a team player and willingness to lend a hand with any project.
High level of initiative and dedication.
Must be able to work flexible shift assignments
Candidate must be willing to be on-call and provide reactive support.

 

Experience Required
The Systems Administrator requires a minimum of 3 years experience as a Systems Administrator.

Experience Desired
Experience with BakBone Netvault Backup software.

Education Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Computer related field
MCSE certification
A+ certification
