Prepare specifications and programs of a highly technical or complex nature.

Confer with users and the Project Management Team to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs.

Assist Systems Analysts/Programmers with application or technical problems.

Ability to analyze legacy code written in both Clipper ® and Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 ®.

Assist the project management team and business owners in evaluating existing processes and determining best practice options for improving productivity and efficiency.

Work with the chosen vendor to implement the Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics ® Accounting package company wide.

 

To qualify, you must have the following requirements:

Be an energetic, devoted hard worker that likes a challenge but also enjoys success in a team environment.

Advanced technical knowledge in all areas of applications programming, system design, update, storage, and retrieval methods.

Experience with Microsoft Great Plains ®/Microsoft Dynamics is required as well as experience with data transfers from legacy sources such as mainframes or flat files.

Extensive technical knowledge and experience (5-7 years) in designing, developing and deploying database driven applications using the Microsoft .Net programming environment (C# preferably) and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as a back-end database.

BS degree in a related area and 3-5 years of experience in the IT or in a related field.

Expertise required with Windows Server environments and WAN connectivity.

Knowledge of current technological development/trends in area of expertise.

Knowledge of established programming procedures and programming languages.

Ability to determine computer problems and coordinate hardware and/or software solutions.
