SAS Business Analyst (EA)

 

Contract:  Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, Data Mining, Database Marketing, Marketing Analytics, SAS

 

Position is responsible for querying and reporting on customer data from data warehouse (Oracle/DB2) to support Revenue Management and Marketing programs.  Work with the clients to understand data needs and ensure all processes and tools are in place to support business activity. Requires strong SAS skills and experience using SAS Access w/ ODBC.  Using SAS and other OLAP tools (Microstrategy) pull data, summarize and load into Excel

 

Duties include

Investigate data sets and create tables for analysis

Perform data preparation functions, including importing and exporting of files and formatting of data fields.

Supporting the creation of client ready reports including summarizing findings and making recommendations

Customer profiling

List processing

Client report generation, including findings and recommendations

 

Abilities & Skills

Strong business, analytical and statistical skills

Excellent organizational skills

Proficiency with SAS, Access, MS Office and BI OLAP tools such as: Excel, Microstrategy, SQL,

Advanced knowledge of relational databases.

At least two years experience in a complex customer database environment.

Familiarity with a variety of data formats and conversion techniques.

Excellent oral and written communication

Solutions-oriented

The ability to work in a team environment is also essential.

 

Experience with VBA is big plus
