Please check our website, http://www.sun.comESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Sales Representative Trainee is an entry-level position within the North America Sales Region. The primary function is to develop a thorough understanding of the processes, skills, and knowledge needed to prepare for a sales territory or account assignment as a Sun Sales Rep. In addition to the Baseline Training and Development activities, the SR Trainee will work with senior sales representatives and customers, including initial presentations and demonstrations of products through the signing of a sales contract as well as aiding the sales office with answering both product and administrative questions. The SR Trainee will also learn how to assess customer needs, develop solutions and close sales opportunities. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: * BA/BS/MBA in Business, Marketing, Management Information Systems, Communications or related degree * Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills * Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills * Self-starter with business aptitude and multi-tasking abilities * Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing business environment * Possess technical aptitude; can quickly learn and apply technical concepts and information * Prefer 3.5 GPA or greater; Minimum 3.0 GPA * Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States * Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this program YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 0 MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION: BS/BA FIELD OF STUDY: Business, Marketing or relatedSun Microsystems Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and appreciates your desire to be considered for a position.
