MagTek, a leading manufacturer of magnetic stripe/Smart-Card readers and encoders, and check readers and imaging systems is searching for an experienced Regional Sales Manager.

 

This position is responsible for growing the revenue of the Financial Business Unit in the assigned geographic/market territory. Activities include the full sales cycle of planning/forecasting, prospecting new leads, setting appointments, making sales presentations, and closing sales.  The target market is primarily financial institutions. The product line includes card issuance and PIN selection systems, imaging check readers and security technologies to include hardware and software for 2-Factor Authentication. This position requires the execution of independent judgment, the ability to handle complex selling scenarios, a mastery of the technical aspects of the assigned product line, and a high level of travel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerforms autonomous sales activities for an assigned geographic area or product/service line to achieve or exceed assigned revenue objectives.

 Maintains regular contact with customers to ensure satisfaction.

 Assists management in devising direct sales plans and strategies.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:Excellent customer service and sales skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Professional appearance and presentation required. PC proficient and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and more. Will need a home office.  Extensive travel required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in business or sales management. Minimum of five years of direct customer contact sales experience.
