QA Intern

We are currently seeking a contract QA Intern for our Fortune 500 Information Technology client located in the Norcross, GA market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day to day testing activities.  This position is open to a current college student seeking some real life experience.  Tasks include but are not limited to ·  Develop and execute manual test plans and scripts; interpret test data, and interface with development teams and management. ·  Adhere to established procedures for Quality Assurance. ·  Review system / application requirements (functional specifications) for quality and completeness. ·  Prepare test plans and test cases to ensure the product adheres to the system / application requirements. ·  Track and report test results for the product's compliance to the functional specifications. ·  Review test results and reports findings to management, in the form of metrics.·  Work with developers to resolve defects and issues. ·  Participate in functional and technical meetings, from the beginning of the project through the entire life cycle. ·  Offer advice and insight on system/ application requirements and the associated effort required for quality assurance. Requirements for Consideration·  One of the following programming knowledge: Visual Basic, C/C++, Java, or .Net.·  Knowledge in planning, creating and executing testing scripts (can provide in-house training). ·  Knowledge of current testing methodologies and metrics required (can provide in-house training). ·  Ability to learn automation testing (will provide in-house training).·  Working towards a Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent technical degree Please send a copy of your resume to EricSpence@spherion.com or apply directly through Monster.
