POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall strategic program planning including budget, structure, schedule, and planning staffing requirements with a major emphasis on client's business needs. Manage customer requirements while ensuring good practices in standard methodologies and processes to deliver an integrated solution. Driven by the business vision, executes leadership, manages risk, prioritizes and interfaces with all projects in order to make informed decisions at the program level. LEVEL OVERVIEW The Senior Manager Level in the Program Management role provides executives, customers and project managers with necessary leadership, assistance, guidance and advice to ensure good practices in standard methodologies and processes. The Senior Manager typically has a broad base of knowledge and experience across industries. The Senior Manager manages employees by establishing annual performance goals, allocating resources, coaching and providing career assessment, mentoring and training needs assessment. The Senior Manager is responsible for the principal leadership of the team in terms of work assignment, timely completion of work, and utilization of team members to accomplish customer expectations. Manages staff in all areas of administration including time, budgeting, recruiting and performance management. The Senior Manager should have 10 or more years experience in Program Management with an understanding of account operations, P&L management, budget management, and program management methodologies. The Senior Manager utilizes strategic knowledge and experience to provide practical implementation techniques to ensure achievement of results on a large scale, long term program of change in a complex, diverse environment. A Masters degree in a relevant field or experience equivalent is required. Project Management Institute (PMI) education and certification is a plus. Technical knowledge a plus. Job Requirements: PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Directs the strategic direction of the staff. Involved in all areas of performance management · Works with subject matter experts to develop statements of work to define deliverables. Develops proposals to include scope, methodology, staffing, and pricing. · Defines programs to ensure proposed solutions will best satisfy the customer needs and requirements. Capitalizes on business development opportunities. · Assess risk and determines the most feasible alternative. · Utilizes and implements standard tracking and reporting methods and procedures to report status of assigned program forecasts, labor, and financial resources. Provides logistics support and manages the change management aspects of assigned programs. · Serves as an expert resource for business process redesign and the development of performance measurement criteria. · Understands project information and project interdependencies in order make informed decisions. · Facilitates change management and other initiatives based on potential return to company and other project objectives. · Develops and determines priorities and monitors and reports on the status of assigned programs on an ongoing basis. · Provides strategic input on technical trends as related to products, tools, services or systems that support the customer needs. · Provides career assessment for lower Program Management levels. · Manages employees by establishing annual performance goals, allocating resources, coaching, and writes annual performance. · Sets budgets and completes all management duties.
