Intermec is currently seeking to hire several Product Marketing Managers in our Printer Marketing Business Unit. The positions are located at our Global Headquarters in Everett, WA and report to the Director of Marketing, Printer Strategy.

JOB SUMMARY:
• Manage all aspects of the designated printer line for the company as the product manager.
• Develop and implement a product strategy and roadmap for the designated printer line, including printer applicator engines, and 3rd party OEM alliances.
• The goal is to (1) drive more Intermec printer and related media and service revenue through channel friendly, value added, and differentiated solutions, and (2) to maximize standard margins in line with corporate and performance targets.
• Understand product gaps and market requirements through market analysis, and design complete solutions to fill those needs. Then work with engineering, ODM and 3rd party OEM’s to translate need into a product specification.
• This role also manages the design, implementation, launch and training of key personnel to meet or exceed customer expectations in a market or industry.
• Identify and develop strategy to differentiate Intermec printers and provide a sustainable advantage through software, features and programs.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES & TASKS :
• Manage entire Product Life Cycle of Intermec’s product families from cradle-to-grave, including Achievement of planned revenue, units and standard margin, Product strategy and business case, Quantitative analysis of both market and product family/model business. Ensure roadmaps tie back to solution sets, and defined positioning.
• Define positioning, Product launch to End-of-Life and support sales processes as needed.
• Utilizes output from Industry, Alliance and International Marketing in terms of product capability requirements as part of a solution set to create a specific Market Requirement Document (MRD).
• Identify, develop and manage 3rd party partner relationships to offer products that compliment or supplement our product offering.
• Drives Product Line Committee insight, making recommendations to start a project, and move product through development, production and market success. Proactively drive prioritization and trade-off decisions with Industry and Alliances. Works with Engineering to ensure availability of SDUs and BDUs according to global requirements and with Operations to distribute globally
• Conducts competitive analysis at the product model level, defines Intermec value proposition, IP leadership and positioning advantage.
• Drives product line price strategy within product families, including setting global pricing and price guide implementation.
• Defines and manages migration strategy of older products when bringing in new products.
• Compare pricing for key configurations against competitive equivalent products – highlight key differences to management by way of recommending decreases or increases in price levels for more competitive effectiveness
• Acts as focal point for product launch, including directing field marketing, operations, training, alliance and partner planning, and analyst relations.
• Delivers value proposition and messaging for leverage to the end user and within channel
• Works with Channel Group to ensure a channel plan is in place, and target channel partners have been identified and engaged
• Must follow all state, local, and federal laws and regulations, as well as embrace Intermec core values and initiatives.
• Must remain aware of regulatory responsibilities and remain current in technical areas, including Sarbanes-Oxley
QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform this job successfully. Depending on the job level, equivalent job-related experience may be substituted for an educational degree.

EDUCATION:
• BA in Marketing, Engineering or Business. MBA preferred
EXPERIENCE:
· Senior Level:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in go-to-market activities - preferably within Business to Business environment.
• Ability to drive the creation, development and fulfilment of an integrated marketing plan.
• Experience in defining plans to increase market share.
• Experience managing cross functional teams required.
• Experience investigating and responding to sales opportunities, including technical and non-technical issues.
• Experience in the printer industry is highly desired.
· Principal Level:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a technical or marketing area such as product management, product technical service, marketing, or engineering.
• Experience in the printer industry is highly desired.
SKILLS:
• Knowledge of printer market, and ability to provide related guidance to software product managers, engineers, sales and partners through analysis.
• Working knowledge of common printer control languages or Experience with various printers is preferred. Sound general knowledge of common printer equipment and the specific technology they are based on.
• Product manager experience for hardware, such as a printer, is preferred.
• Sound working knowledge of all aspects of product management is required, including analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage people supporting other related printer product families is desired.
• Ability to lead through influence. Ability to manage multiple complex, cross-functional projects. Ability to present clear written and verbal concepts to customers, peers and executives.
