Product Manager

Product Managers are key members of the product development team. The qualified candidate will enjoy a highly-visible client-facing position in which he/she will “own� and manage a break-through technology solution for an active RFID real-time location system (RTLS). While exceptional product management skills are essential, success will require the application of skills far beyond product management. The Product Manager will be a subject matter expert for the organization, for clients and to the industry, and will work directly with our clients distributors and value-added resellers to define solutions and deliver accordingly. The Product Manager will not play the role of a sales lead, but will consultatively manage solution enhancements/variations in a way to assure maximum solution revenue, profitability and applicability.

 

 

Responsibilities:

The Product Manager will work with our clients Executive Team, account managers, and clients to identify, document and prioritize product requirements. He/She will oversee all operational processes for delivering and supporting solution implementations, and ensuring on-going quality targets are achieved. This person will work with the Vice President of Marketing to establish and execute go-to-market programs and materials, including launch plans, pricing strategy, marketing collateral, training programs and sales support to ensure that various sales/business development individuals have the appropriate selling tools. He/she will also work with the Vice President of Client Services as an advocate for training clients on solution offerings.

 

Activities will vary but the Product Manager can expect to spend approximately 30% of their time substantively working directly with clients and 70% of their time working internally in a product management capacity.

 

While exceeding revenue and profit targets is essential, success of the Product Manager is equally measured by the extent to which on-time and on-budget delivery in achieved; the extent to which solution equity is enhanced; and the extent to which long-term and consultative client partnerships are formed, nurtured and grown over the long- term.
