Responsibilities: Lead the development of new assembly processes for new boards and systems. Support existing board and assembly processes internal and external to Mercury Computer. Collaborate with Design teams to drive DFM into new designs at the earliest possible stage. Lead improvement teams as needed.

Qualifications: BSME or equivalent training and experience. Familiar with Lean and 6 Sigma principles. ISO-9000.

 Experience with board assembly techniques (soldering, press fit, assembly verification tools), conformal coating application, process layouts, process improvement, ECR reviews, product packaging. 10 + years working within a high tech company supporting board and or system assembly processes. Additional Preferred Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Background in the manufacturing of either medical or military use products. Background with complex electronic assemblies. This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of US regulations. The ITAR and EAR define a U.S. Person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Additional Preferred Qualifications: MSEE or MSCS degree. RF & FPGA experience.
