Pressroom / Mailroom Clerk

We are currently seeking a 2 month contract Pressroom / Mailroom Clerk for our Fortune 500 Information technology client located in the Pleasanton, CA market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day to day pressroom / mailroom activities. Tasks include but are not limited to ·  Point of contact to receive, review and electronically log customer jobs ·  Operate standard finishing equipment (e.g. paper cutters, inserters, laminating, and hole punchers); including pull and pack for packaged materials (basic fulfillment)·  Operate basic office equipment (printer, copier, fax)·  Clean and maintain office equipment when necessary (key operator)·  Log incoming packages and other accountable mail ·  Deliver finished product to client site(s)·  Pick up and delivery of mail to designated recipients·  Tracking and coordinating equipment moves within assigned customer location·  Process mail using USPS approved postage equipment·  Problem solve basic issues to complete production, delivery, and output requirements·  Perform basic quality inspection before, during and after output of each production run·  Sort and scan hardcopy materials or other mediums for use in printed documents or digital format; specific application training may be required and provide·  Collect data and respond to print/copy equipment issues by contacting service personnel using specific PC applications.·  Operate low to mid-speed printers and copiers·  Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing USPS, Express Mail and packages; maintain reporting logs·  Open and Scan incoming mail for electronic distribution per customer requirements Requirements for Consideration·  Excellent listening and communications skills·  Ability to use a PC and Microsoft Office. ·  Basic Math skills (division, multiplication, percentages)·  High school degree or equivalent certification ·  1+ years experience in a Customer Service environment ·  Previous Mailroom or Pressroom experience a must Please send a copy of your resume to EricSpence@spherion.com or apply directly through Monster.
