Portal Developer

Job Description:

 

Technology Consulting is seeking a web portal developer to extend existing SAP and Troux portals for effective promulgation, adoption, and compliance with the EA principles, strategies, and standards.  The successful candidate is accountable for translating to the web portal and automating the processes for IT Management Standards & Strategies, Vendor Technology Roadmap, Project Management touch points, and boards & councils. This position is also responsible for enabling the automation for associated metrics.

 

This is a technical position that will leverage the candidate’s web design, development, and programming expertise, augmented with Troux training and development. The successful candidate will have the ability to rapidly master new technology and programming languages.

 

This position will be responsible to the Enterprise Architecture Operations Manager and will be located in Long Beach CA.Responsibilities include:

- Extend the Troux Metaverse (EA Platform) software suite to facilitate standards and architectural governance, communication, and maintenance.

- Customize built-in standard reports and user interfaces using Troux Composer to meet Company's needs of making information quicker to find and easier to understand

- Create interfaces with other COTS and internal repositories for scheduled import/export of data using the Troux Collector Framework

- Create solutions that connect reference models to EA maturity models delineating the linkage between reference models to technical roadmaps to EA maturity model

 Working Relationships:Internal:

- Reports to the Operations ManagerExternal:

- Has regular contact with outside vendors for additional support as needed

- Participates actively in architecture development communities onlineRequired Skills:Technical Skills and Credentials Required:

- Troux Metaverse development experience using Solution Composer and Collector Framework

- Troux Composer for creating custom reports and user interfaces

- Troux Collector for creating interfaces to HP PPM and other repositories

- Visual Basic using COM APIs preferred

- Strong written and verbal communications skills;

- Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies, and processing environments;

- Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies;

- Ability to apply multiple technical solutions to problems;

 Required Education (including Major):

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or > 5 years related work experience.

 

- This is a 4-6month contractor position with possible renewal
- Seeking a candidate with recent Troux development/customization experience
