Store Systems Programmer Analyst

 

 

Large retail organization with locations nationwide has a position available for an application development programmer for Retail Store Systems Support/POS.  This position requires knowledge of MS Windows, IBM 4690OS, IBM SurePOS registers and the Epicor CRS RADOS software.  We offer competitive salary with a comprehensive benefit program.  Details of this position are:

 

 

•  Designs, debugs, tests, and implements POS and desktop based applications for the store locations.

•  Evaluates and analyzes the various operation units current systems and/or system needs in conjunction with users.

•  Reviews designs, analysis, and code for quality and adherence to standards.

•  Provides on-call support and problem resolution for POS applications.

•  Documents all changes to software.

•  Keeps other corporate departments informed on the changes and how it may affect the processed procedures.

•  Repair and maintain equipment being sent to and from the stores.

•  Updates, builds and monitors price file changes and downloads.

Education and/or Experience

•  Proficient with BASIC, DOS, and some scripting languages.

•  Knowledge of computer programming theory, principles, and practices.

•  Experience with 4694, SurePOS, and IBM PC’s.

•  Clear, concise and grammatical oral and written communication skills.

•  Basic math skills to include calculations and percentages.
