Online Support Resources / Web Strategy Consultant

Develop a vision for an organization’s web presence for Support Services while positioning the website as an effective resource for the organization’s customers. The consultant will ensure that the site’s content is fresh, accurate, presented effectively online, and addresses the goals of both Support Services and the site’s visitors. This position requires a high-energy, self-directed, deadline-oriented individual who has exceptional communication skills and is able to:

•Write/edit, publish, and manage content for assigned channels of organization’s Support Web site
•Work with support content technical writers and staff in various IT departments to ensure that content for support site is user-centric and consistent in style, format, and quality
•Envision, oversee, and help implement new content initiatives and site redesigns
•Ensure that content is promoted on key landing pages throughout the site

•Lead effort to develop a vision to unify and organize the Online Support presence that reflects the mission and personality of Support Services and overall organization
•Design the look and feel, navigation, content and features of the Online Support presence while planning implementation of functional design
•Establish business processes to maintain content and provide content updates that will be determined by fact-based decision making, usability and software release timelines
•Recognize web technology trends and determine how they can influence and contribute to the needs of Support Services
•Explore new developments in web support and online communities, and consider how they might be used to improve the Support Services online presence
•Drive initiatives to facilitate interactivity and customer engagement with the Online Support resources.
•Collect and analyze usage statistics from current solution to discover potential areas for improvement

•A B.S./M.S. degree or equivalent, or work experience in Computer Science, Marketing or a related field
•Minimum of 3–5 years experience with the development of online resources and user communities
•Strong working knowledge of user-centered design including information architecture, visual design and usability best practices.
