ATEN, a leading international KVM manufacturer since 1981 is seeking a OEM Sales Executive for our office in Irvine, CA.  

 

This is an exciting growth opportunity for a Sales Executive who is seeking to make a significant contribution to the successful growth and launch of OEM market.  

 

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: Develops and maintains customers interested in the customization of standard ATEN products or in the design of new products for original equipment, system integration and or private labeling resale.

 

GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION: Inside/Outside Sales.

Responsible for the sale of ATEN products on an OEM basis.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1 - Research, qualify new OEM potential customers for KVM switches, USB 2.0, Firewire 1394, server, server racks, UPS Power, motherboard, all IOGEAR existing product lines, all ATEN existing product lines offered by ATEN.

2 – Develop long term relationships with potential customers as well as current customers.

3 - Maintain and increase sales with current customers by introducing new SKU’s and products.

4 - Acquire sales leads through trade show leads, cold calling, and other resources, qualifies new opportunities and closes business.

5 - Follow through on OEM customer development and approval cycle to close sales.

6 -  Attend trade shows, internal product training or other seminars as recommended by manager.

7 - Interfaces with customer’s Engineering, Marketing, Purchasing and Accounting departments.

8 – Interfaces with ATEN’s Engineering, Product Management, Marketing and Accounting departments to assure that customer needs are met.

9 - Provides to the customer project management as required.

10 - Provides manager with weekly and monthly sales activity reports.

11 - Follows up on customer shipment status, RFQ’s, quotes, request for samples, catalogs and other customer requirements.

12 – Attends internal product training and product management meetings.

13 – Assists in pricing and contract negotiations with prospects and customers.

14 – Travel is required depending on OEM projects and percentage of travel can not be determined                                                                

 

REQUIRED BACKGROUD:

  Degree Required:  Preferred Type ­ ­­BS, BA, EE  ­Minimum Associates Degree

  Required Experience: Previous 3-5 years experience in OEM sales, must have worked with major retail channels like Best Buy, Office Depot, Tiger Direct…, or Dell, IBM, HP, Gateway… Some project management experience very helpful.  Knowledge of manufacturing, purchasing, and supply-chain management process is very helpful but not required.
