The NRP Group ( http://www.nrpgroup.com/) is presently searching for a Network Support Specialist to join our fast growing organization.  The Network Support Specialist must have good problem solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.  Excellent follow-up skills, documentation skills, and commitment to see complicated problems through to solution.  A team player with the right soft skills and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with business users and other team members.

The ideal candidate will have:3+ years related experience with supporting network userssolid understanding of standard computer system concepts, servers running Microsoft Windows 2000 and 2003,Microsoft SQL 2000 and 2005 and personal desktop architecture Technical depth to communicate with development and other internal organizations at a peer level.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work atmosphere.


Responsibilities for this position include:Experience and proven skills with Microsoft Server 2000 and 2003 Active Directory, DNS and TCP/IPTrouble shooting and diagnostics in networking connections and software issues Timberline Accounting Software Support and Management Install and Support Microsoft XP/Vista Operating systems Install and Support Microsoft Office at all levels Support VB applicationsThe ability to quickly learn the basics of new software and toolsExcellent communication skills. Verbal and writtenExchange 2003 System Monitoring, Maintenance, Optimization, and AdministrationBlackberry Server Monitoring, Maintenance, Optimization, and Administration Cisco VOIP Phone support and setupsCisco Unified Messaging  Management, and AdministrationVirus Scan Monitoring, Maintenance, Administration, and Content FilteringWSUS Setup and Management, SAN Administration, Disk Maintenance, Disk Space MonitoringSQL2005 Database MaintenanceVMWARE Virtualization Management, Virtual Server Setup and ConfigurationDocument Management: End User Support, Database Maintenance, Updates, and ConfigurationsCisco and Watchguard firewall and VPN Setups, and Maintenance High Level Support Calls and backup to Support Techs

Education & Certification:Microsoft Certified Professional in Server3-5 years experience in network administrationMCSA or MCSE is a plus
