Network Security Administrator
Maintains and monitors the centrally managed Security systems. Contributes to the design, for all local and remote networked corporate systems as well as all security appliances such as our corporate firewalls, intrusion prevention system (IPS), email and Internet filtering devices, antivirus console, etc.
Interfaces with the user community to understand their security needs and contributes to the implementation of procedures to accommodate them. Ensures that user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security. Contributes in assessing the level of security required
Assists in coordinating and conducting security risk assessment investigations to identify risks and potential corrective actions. Applies the necessary corrective actions
Assists in coordinating and conducting security violation investigations to identify the contravener and supply management with detailed facts
Participates in the maintenance of guidelines, procedures and contributes to establishing standards to minimize security risks by protecting the integrity, accuracy, confidentiality and recoverability of data and information across the Corporation
Participates in development of procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction
Maintains login identification and access rules. Work with other system administrators to define security requirements for specific access to applications, network, files, and database management systems
Assists in coordinating and/or conducting internal and external security audits and reviewing event logs for all servers on the corporate network and applies the necessary corrective actions in a timely manner.
Requirements:
* College Diploma in IT or any other relevant field
* Five (5) years of experience in a security discipline of which two (2) must be directly related to the development of information security solutions or network administration
* Practical experience with security systems (firewall, VPN,
* web and email filtering, vulnerability management)
* CISSP certification (an asset)
* Strong knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, Windows and Unix/Linux
* Strong analytical abilities with good business sense
* Strategic thinker, proactive, detail oriented
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Availability to be on call (minimum (1) week per month)
* Bilingualism (English and French)
