Steel Warehouse is a Steel Service Center headquartered in South Bend, Indiana, and our affiliated companies are in tubing and metal fabrication.  Currently we have 19 locations in North America.  With a combination of People, Process, and Technology, the IT Department has aggressive plans for improvements and deployment of new services in support of our growing businesses.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Steel Warehouse IT Team and take a prominent role in the ongoing design and implementation of a rock solid communications infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

· Reliability, availability and maximized performance of the communications infrastructure

· Understand current and future communication requirements of the enterprise

· Define and maintain short and long term network plans

· Developing technical standards for infrastructure

· Work with other team members to identify and resolve issues

· Maintain SolarWinds Orion for optimal monitoring and performance analysis

Requirements:

· Highly motivated to deliver Excellence with minimal supervision

· Experience in multi location MPLS environment

· Expert in

o  Configuration and administration of Cisco equipment

o  WAN / LAN design and implementation

o  Network Protocols

o  OSPF theory and real world deployment

o  Network troubleshooting

· Proficiency with Cisco 6500, 37xx and Pix

· 3-5 years experience in complex network environments

· 3-5 years experience with Cisco equipment

 

Position will be based in South Bend, Indiana.
