Network Administrator/Senior Systems Administrator

 

Reporting to the Director of IT, The Network Administrator / Senior Systems Administrator will Install, configure, and maintain Intel-based hardware, Windows server operating systems including, Microsoft Exchange Server, SQL Server and Filemaker database software, web software, monitoring utilities and backup/restore services in an enterprise data center environment. Perform 24x7 on-call duties, including monitoring, analysis, diagnosis and resolution of computing problems involving hardware, OS, peripherals, network infrastructure, application and enterprise storage. Assist supporting corporate end user desktop environment (Windows XP Professional, Office 2003 Professional, Outlook 2003 messaging client) Manage rotation of weekly backup media, and process offsite backup media schedule. Assist in planning, developing and maintaining corporate support policies and procedures. Familiarity with Routing and other Network Concepts with Cisco, Sonic Wall and other vendor’s equipment highly desirable. Litteracy and Facility with MacOSX, Linux and other *NIX with impartiality required. Install and Manage virtualization environments such as VMWare. Effectively manage client relationships, vendor service and peer support in a team environment to meet or exceed service level agreement parameters. Maintain data integrity for database, application, and security and recovery requirements.

 

Requirements: Minimum Job Qualifications:

Education: Required BS degree in related field (Computer Science) or technical degree in field with extensive experience.

Certifications: MSCE and CCNA preferred but not required

Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen, without dual citizenship with another country. - Active Security Clearance at start a plus.
