Independently develops, modifies, and implements moderately to highly complex information systems that are thorough and accurate and conform to FSG standards. Translates customer requirements, recommending system solutions and formulating detailed specifications from which components are written. Codes, tests, debugs, and documents assignments of moderate to high complexity. Independently researches and resolves more complex technical problems. A top level technical contributor in one or more highly specialized phases of applications system architecture with strong technical (applications based) knowledge. May serve as primary system support for two or more complex information systems based on in-depth system knowledge. Macy's Systems & Technology is headquartered in Johns Creek, a suburban setting northeast of Atlanta, Georgia.   We offer competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits, and a merchandise discount.   Key Accountabilities:   The Web Application Support Analyst position will provide support for Macys.com and Bloomingdales.com in the Infrastructure & Field Services Service (IFS) organization. The Web Application Support team is responsible for the day-to-day operational support of key critical services and infrastructure. The position will provide third-level support covering incidents, configuration changes, deployments, RCA, system administration and monitoring. The Web Application Support team is staffed 24x7 and this position will fill one of the following shifts.   Sunday - Wednesday 1st shift 6:00 AM - 4 PM 2nd shift 1PM - 12PM 3rd shift 10PM - 9 AM   Wedndesday - Saturday 1st shift 6:00 AM - 4 PM 2nd shift 1PM - 12PM 3rd shift 10PM - 9 AM   Monday - Friday 12 PM - 9 PM Skills Summary: Provide daily operational support for production and non-production environments Perform monitoring and root cause analysis of incidents Perform deployments to production and non-production environments Participate in data gathering for root cause analysis of incidents Ability to consistently report to work on time for the shift supported Basic knowledge of web application infrastructure Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Mature, confident, good relationship-building skills Ability to perform multiple roles and learn new skills 1+ years experience with UNIX (AIX) 1+ years experience with WebSphere, Weblogic or JBOSS application servers  Pluses: Experience with WebSphere version 5 and up Database Administration Familiarity (DB2 Preferred)  Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree. Emphasize on on Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics or Engineering is prefered. 4 years working experience in lieu of bachelor's degree.
