Mid-Atlantic Regional Sales Manager
MID-ATLANTIC REGIONAL SALES MANAGER – Northern VA/Washington DC
APCON, Inc., the worldwide leader of Physical Layer Switching solutions for Test Lab Automation and Enterprise monitoring, has an immediate need for a Regional Sales Manager due to exponential growth and customer demand. The Regional Sales Manager position will be home office based in the Northern VA/Washington DC area covering the Mid-Atlantic territory. The ideal candidate will have sales and application experience selling network switching products or analysis equipment to test labs, data centers and large enterprises. Local account knowledge of the Fortune 500, telecommunications, military/government and OEMs (computer hardware/software) is required. General knowledge of networking protocols including Fibre Channel, Ethernet and SONET highly desired.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include prospecting new accounts, qualifying and closing accounts, maintaining existing customer relationships, multi-state travel performing customer demonstrations, channel sales partner trainings/support and attending trade shows. This sales candidate must be an independent, self-starter with a "hunter" mentality and able to perform in a results-oriented sales environment.
Qualifications
B.S. Degree (prefer computer science or engineering), minimum 5+ years outside sales experience selling switches, networking hardware or high technology products, remote sales office experience, excellent written and verbal communications skills, Outlook/PowerPoint/Excel/Goldmine experience, a history of job stability and exceeding sales quotas.
