Microsoft Systems Administrator

Our client based in Birmingham, AL is currently seeking a Microsoft Systems Administrator to join their top tier IT team! This position is responsible for the support functions within the Information Technology department including the administration of multiple Windows server infrastructures. Hardware and software support for Windows 2000/2003 servers as well as electronic messaging support and Level 3 Help Desk escalation support. The ideal candidate will exercise independent and analytical judgment to solve complex problems requiring evaluation of identifiable factors. The Systems Administrator is also responsible for recommending and implementing new technology which will increase the company's productivity as well as benefit the company financially.

 

Ideally a candidate will posses experience with the following technologies:

Windows Server 2003 administration

Experience supporting Exchange Server 2003

Knowledge of McAfee Active Virus Defense

Administration of Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) and the support of Blackberry devices is a plus.

Microsoft SQL 2005 Administration

Sharepoint server administration
