Technical Services Manager
Liberty Travel
Description: Responsible for the customer and technical support organization tasked with providing rapid response to mission critical customer needs. Manage, direct, and oversee a staff of customer and technical support representatives who troubleshoot network and PC/server software and hardware issues.
Responsibilities:
·Manage a Windows Server team responsible for:
o All Windows and VMWare based systems.
o Microsoft Active Directory and all Microsoft server based systems.
o Electronic messaging, including Exchange, SMTP, and Rightfax.
o Analyzing and evaluating products and related performance.
o Troubleshooting and repairing peripherals and software.
o Providing performance tracking reports that trend utilization of resources.
o Providing day-to-day technical support and successful completion of multiple projects and tasks.
·Manage the Desktop support staff, responsible for:
o Imaging and Deployment of all desktop and laptop PC’s
o Distribution of software to new and existing PC’s
o Management of desktop equipment inventory
o Efficient handling of inbound PC-related help desk tickets within established SLA’s
·Planning, equipment purchasing and budgeting.
·Work with new and existing vendors for purchase of server and desktop equipment
·Domain registrations and SSL certificate administration.
·Stay abreast of the latest technologies and suggest the correct fit for the LibGo organization.
·Architect, implement and be responsible for new, efficient designs.
·Build and develop a strong team.
Education and Skills Required:
·Unquestionable leadership, mentoring, and management skills.
·Proven Analytical and problem solving ability.
·Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
·10+ years experience. 5+ years experience managing a team supporting LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Windows NT, Active Directory, network file and print servers.
·Ability to manage competing priorities and solve problems.
·Demonstrated ability to work in a demanding environment.
·Highly motivated hands-on technician with excellent project management skills and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
·Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), team and presentation skills.
·Retail and Wholesale support experience a plus.
