Mac Desktop Tech in CHANDLERDescription: Volt in support of Apple is staffing for a Mac Desktop Tech support role for a 6 month contract. Will be responsible for overseeing the daily support, expedient service and repair of all desktop machines contained on the call center floor. Submit all trouble ticket information to Operations concerning all reoccurring hardware or software errors of the call center floor. Set up and maintain all desk equipment as to insure the desks functionality at all times. Role and Responsibilities: Work with Team Managers on maintaining iMac desktop computers, DHCP servers. Install required call center software on desktop computers. Monitor LAN for performance. Maintain server room including Cisco Routers and Nortel Switches. Configure wireless network including Airport Express Access Points. Configure security protocols and wifi access. Act as a link between Agents, Team Managers, Network Operations. Troubleshoot issues with local phone system and send up tickets as needed. Troubleshoot issues with agent tools such as SoftPhone, GCRM, iLog, SNAK, and internal websites sending up tickets when needed. Log all issues for the day and send out summaries. Analyze processes, develop processes, and automate processes to meet business needs. Requirements: A.S. Degree or equivalent and experience in a technical environment. Experience supporting Macintosh hardware and software. Experience with a personal computer and other devices, such as an iPod, smart cell phone, PDAs, etc. 3 years of technical call center experience desired. Experience trouble shooting technical problems with personal computers, cellular and other devices. Experience with MAC OS X and/or MS Windows 2000/XP/Vista.Skills DesiredExcellent analytical skills a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and adjust to ambiguity required. Ability to quickly and effectively diagnose and repair problems with desktop systems. Ability to quickly and effectively diagnose and repair problems with system software required for productive work environment.Must be flexible to work a schedule within the full hours of operation, which are 7 days a week. The hours of operation will depend on the time zone operating in.
