Lead Engineer - Electrical
Description:Support of digital and FPGA design and development activities for devices to be utilized in hi-reliability spaced-based communications systems. Design and developement responsibilities include all phases of device design, development, and documentation tasks to include concept development, requirements, verification plan, chip architecture, detail RTL or VHDL design, simulation, timing analysis, synthesis, and ATPG. Other tasks include monitoring and providing support for the integration and testing of devices within higher level assembly applications. Candidate must be able to effectively and efficiently work with other team members to include other designers, systems engineers, software engineers, project managers, customers and suppliers. BSEE required and MSEE preferred plus 10 years of directly related design experience. Candidate should have design experience in most if not all of the following tasks, languages, and EDA tools: VHDL, Verilog, HVL (Vera or e), C, Perl, PLI, Behavioral and RTL Simulation, FPGA design, back-annotated timing Gate-level Simulation, Static Timing Analysis, Equivalency Checking, Synthesis, Scan Insertion, ATPG, EDA tools from Synopsys, Cadance, and Mentor Graphics such as ModelSim, VCS, NCVerilog, Verilog-XL, Design Compiler, Power Compiler, PrimePower, Primetime, Formality, FastScan, and TetraMax. Additional skills desired but not required include experience in designing DSP IP modules and/or devices, Matlab, SystemC, SPW, mixed-mode ASIC design, and radiation hardening design techniques.
