Java/TIBCO Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Developing web applications and portals, based on Smith business requirements.Production support and trouble-shooting for existing J2EE applications.Develop core EAI and SOA applications and solutions using TIBCO technology. Conduct support and trouble-shooting for existing integration applications.Work with other developers, architects, services engineers and managers in solving new and existing integration issues.Participation in the creation of standards, best practices, and principles on the proper use and deployment of Java and integration technology within SmithPerform training and mentoring other developers on Java, TIBCO, and SOADevelop documentation regarding the end use of the application and the technical support of the application.



QUALIFICATIONS:

 

EducationBachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

 

Required ExperienceA minimum of three years of experience in JAVA and J2EE programming.Hand-on experience with J2EE Application severs such as BEA Weblogic server (version 7 and above), Oracle9iAS, or JBoss.An understanding of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) methodology, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)Experience and knowledge of SOAP/WSDL/XML concepts, frameworks, and standardsKnowledge of integration patternsEAI related experience with minimum 2 years of work experience in developing integration applications using TIBCO BusinessWorksExperience working with TIBCO Designer, Administrator, and Active Database AdapterExtensive experience working with TIBCO EMS, Rendezvous, HAWK, and adaptersWorking experience with TIBCO portal and workflow toolMust have the ability to setup and configure a TIBCO development or production environment from scratchStrong Object-Oriented Design, UML, and XML skillsExcellent knowledge of JDBC programmingStrong knowledge of relational database design and development including Oracle and SQL server; experience working in SQL and PL/SQL programmingStrong Unix background, preferably SolarisStrong interpersonal communications and an affinity to work in a team environment Must have the ability to handle multiple concurrent activities and have a flexible positive attitudeStrong analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills 

 

Desired/Preferred Skills

 Java, J2EE, or TIBCO Certification Experience in developing integration solutions involving CRM and ERPExperience in on-shore and offshore solution delivery environment
