Job Title: Intermediate Level Storage Area Network (SAN) Administrator

Job Location: Yonkers, NYPosition Description:Administer large SAN with multiple storage arrays - including addition of new storage arrays and fibre channel directors (proposals and implementation), provisioning of additional storage, performance management, capacity planning, alert management, data security, software and microcode upgradesDocument and create standards and proceduresCreate and maintain configuration documentationWork with, provide support, guidance and supervision to other SAN AdministratorsAssist clients and server administrators to define their needs, identify which storage products are appropriate for them, and implement or acquire as necessary24x7 support (with rotating on-call). Some after hours and/or weekend work requiredRequirements:BA/BS degree preferred2-3 years Storage Administration skills on large SANs with Hitachi, EMC and Brocade experience and offsite mirroring a plusSystem Administration skills on one or more of these platforms a plus: Windows, AIX, Novell, Linux, SolarisInvolvement with disaster recovery/business continuity and data securityInvolvement with multiplatform centralized backup systems, with NetBackup experience a plusAble to work with clientsAttention to detailAbility to write extensive documentationHardware selection experience
