Intel Corp. - Automation Engineer
The position described below is a job profile that is generally representative of current or future openings at Intel. In this position, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Troubleshooting complex systems in a heterogeneous environment of VMS*, UNIX*, and Windows* systems - Sustaining and driving improvement for all of the systems in Intel's leading edge factories - Partnering with engineering, manufacturing, and production control to leverage automation capabilities to solve complex manufacturing problems - Supporting Virtual Factory efforts - Working with Intel automation groups worldwide to define and maintain configuration standards and synergy - Actively participating on automation project teams - Providing implementation and integration leadership - Providing some 7x24 on-call coverage You must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT, with a minimum of three years experience with applications support. Additional qualifications include: - Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex systems in a heterogeneous environment, and a firm understanding of the software engineering lifecycle - Solid knowledge of Virtual Factory, local automation, and customer teams - Strong written, presentation, problem solving, and communication skills - Flexibility, adaptability, and self-motivation One of the following sets of experience is a must: - Oracle* DBA and Components Automation Systems (CAS) supported applications such as ORAMON* and ORABCK* - Visual Studio* 6 (Visual C++* and Visual Basic* 6) - Technical expertise with UNIX*, Windows*, VMS,* DCL*, C/C++/C#, Visual Basic* and/or VB.NET*, ASP* and/or ASP.NET*, Cobol*, Java*, SQ*, SQL* Server, Oracle*, TIB*, WorkStream*, and 200mm automation environment - Programming skills in Extensible Markup Language (XML), ASP*, .NET* against SQL* and Oracle* databases View all job postings for Intel
